Houston, We Have A Problem

I need some help.  I took my wedding ring off and put down somewhere; now, I can't find it.  How do I explain to Kellie, after she’s been gone for a week, that I’ve lost my wedding ring?  I’m sure it’s in the house and that it will turn up eventually, but if I can’t find it before she gets home tomorrow, I’ll have to tell her something.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  And it can’t be, “It fell off my finger while I was body surfing.”  I used that one already.

  1. "I noticed a small crack in the back of it so I brought it to the jewelers to be fixed." Then when you find it, bring it to a jeweler to be polished. If you don't find it, buy a new one and it will be shiny anyway!

  2. Uh-oh. If you did any laundry, check the washer and dryer. But, considering your last posts, I'm guessing no laundry was done? Just clean up and it'll show up.

  3. Just tell her that you don't need a symbol of your love on display. Tell her that you pawned it and take her on a cruise!

  4. The bar will reopen at 4 today. Go back to the same barstool you were sitting on when you slipped your ring into your jeans pocket (and missed) as the italian knock out walked towards you. It will be on the floor. Tip the bartender (again) and stop pretending you are any less of a pig than the rest of your gender.

  5. Umm, you could tell her you took it off, and misplaced it. Like you just shared. The truth shall set you free..
